I don’t know what’s wrong with my air conditioner, and I know it varies according to the extent of the repair needed, but I’m looking to see how much, at most, it would probably cost me..

during summer is their busy season so expect to pay more and expect to wait for repairs. most companies are back-logged with calls right now. I would say 200-300 bucks

If it’s a central air conditioning system and it’s older than 15 years, you may want to consider replacing the entire system with modern energy efficient equipment. The cost of electricity will be less than half what your paying now. If you need a new compressor, that’s all the more reason to buy a whole new system. If your refrigerant charge is low due to a leak in your system, it depends on what’s leaking and how hard it is to find and repair the leak. Hopefully you have an easy repair, and it’s worth a service call to find out what’s wrong and an estimate of the cost to fix it. But don’t rush into repairing it until you consider all your alternatives. In the meantime, buy a big fan to help keep you cool.

We would need more information. The parts needed would be a great start.
