How Do You Get Kitchen Sink To Drain Without Always Having To Turn On The Garbage Disposal?

Just installed new garbage disposal and kitchen sink won’t drain without being turned on. This causes dishwasher to overflow kitchen sink. I don’t feel like standing at the sink anymore and turning on the disposal every time we need to wash dishes.

  1. You have a problem because I have hooked them up all the time and they should bleed water out even though you may not use it.
Make sure it was hooked up properly./

  2. My dishwasher overflows all over the floor when we have garbage in the disposer. It has no where to drain.
If you are keeping garbage in your disposer that’s just not right. If there is no garbage in there than something went wrong in your instillation.
